Culture Connects Us
An Internationally Award-Winning Documentary by Village-Connect
Culture Connects Us is an award-winning animated documentary produced by Village-Connect. Through storytelling, personal dialogue, music, and art, the film explores America's diverse cultural fabric — examining its successes, failures, and transformations — and asks what truly binds us together as a people.
Powered by Culture-Based Transformative Coaching® (CBTC), a transformative coaching model developed by Kwame Osagyefo (Gaylon Logan, Jr.), the film moves beyond surface-level diversity conversations to examine culture at the level of consciousness, identity, and shared humanity.
Produced in collaboration with filmmakers Kaylah Marin and Jalila Bell of KAJE Creative, and featuring the artwork of award-winning artist Wanda Whitaker, Culture Connects Us has screened at film festivals across four continents and earned 9 international awards.
Behind the Vision
Culture Connects Us is founded upon Culture-Based Transformative Coaching® (CBTC) — a transformative coaching model developed by Kwame Osagyefo (Gaylon Logan, Jr.), Founder and Executive Director of Village-Connect. With over 30 years of experience as a coach, facilitator, and thought leader, Kwame created CBTC to move people beyond individual goals and into a deeper relationship with their cultural identity, their community, and their collective purpose. This film is that methodology in motion.
