Foundation & Beliefs
Unlike life coaching — which focuses primarily on individual goals and behavioral accountability, transformative coaching works at a deeper level: consciousness, cultural identity, and the community structures that shape who we become. That is the foundation of everything we do at Village-Connect.
We believe change occurs on three levels:
consciousness, behavior, and structure.
At the heart of our work is the belief that every person carries a higher self — an innate drive toward growth, purpose, and contribution. Our role is to create the conditions that awaken that potential and connect people with a community that sustains it.
This work is grounded in the Five Transformative Life Pillars — Ubuntu, Ma'at, Ujamaa, Harambee, and Sankofa — living cultural technologies that anchor every program, every session, and every relationship in the Village-Connect ecosystem.
Vision
We envision communities where self-awareness and collective care evolve into lasting wellbeing — where individuals, families, and neighborhoods rise together.
Mission
Our mission is to build the capacity of people to become more self-aware and self-directed, resulting in sustainable positive transformation.
Meet Our Team
Behind every transformation is a team committed to empowerment. At Village-Connect, our people are the heart of our mission — to build the capacity of individuals to become more self-aware and self-directed through culturally grounded transformative coaching. Since 2009, our dedicated staff, facilitators, and community leaders have worked collaboratively across the San Francisco Bay Area to create lasting, positive change.
Together, we are transforming lives and empowering communities.
