Serving the San Francisco Bay Area since 2009, Village-Connect (VC) is an Alameda County-based nonprofit organization with the mission to build the capacity of people to become more self-aware and self-directed, resulting in sustainable positive transformation for all.

Our Programs

We employ a community-based interdisciplinary approach to effectively transform the individual, family, and community. Our programs and events utilize culture-based coaching to bring about personal and communal transformation.

WE-Empower Family

WE–Empower Family (WEF) is a culturally grounded 10-week coaching intensive designed to strengthen the mental, emotional, and relational well-being of Black and African American families, while remaining inclusive of other historically marginalized families in Oakland.

African American Empower Program

Aims to enhance the positive cultural identity of African American students in grades K-12 through empowerment groups and on-site support at school sites.

Our Partners

We collaborate with various organizations, school districts, and companies to help achieve our goal of long-term sustainable transformative change of individuals and families.
