WE-Empower Family Alumni Association (WEFAA)
WEFAA is the bridge that sustains growth after the 10-week program. Alumni stay connected through monthly coaching, peer-led workshops, and family events that reinforce the skills and bonds built during WEF. Parents grow as mentors and advocates, while youth step into junior facilitator roles that prepare them for leadership. WEFAA ensures transformation continues beyond graduation, turning short-term breakthroughs into lasting resilience and community strength.
Trauma-Informed Mental Health Support
As part of our long-term healing approach, WE–Empower Family now offers culturally responsive mental health support for alumni families through our new Clinical Director, Colette Katuala and our partnership with Focused Clinical Solutions.

These services are trauma-informed, family-centered, and exclusive to graduates of the WEF 10-week core program. Support includes optional virtual or in-person sessions, group therapy opportunities, and referrals for specialized care—all grounded in cultural humility and healing justice frameworks.
This collaboration reflects our belief that community care and clinical care must work together to support the full wellbeing of families.
CBTC Coaching Pipeline
WEF graduates can deepen their impact by becoming near-peer coaches through Village-Connect’s CBTC Coaching Pipeline, and through our partnership with BANANAS.
Alumni receive 40+ hours of training in Culture-Based Transformative Coaching®, trauma-informed care, and leadership development. Under licensed supervision, these coaches help facilitate new cohorts, model resilience, and sustain the WEF legacy from within the community.
